Dr Marc Siegel is an associate professor of medicine at the Georgetown University Medical Center’s Division of Infectious Disease. His areas of clinical interest include HIV pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) for the prevention of HIV transmission, chronic hepatitis C, and prevention of COVID-19.

Marc has served as the principal investigator for multiple HIV and HCV treatment clinical trials. He has been the medical lead on six HIV Prevention Trials Network (HPTN) clinical trials looking at various forms of PrEP in men and women at risk of HIV infection. He is currently the principal investigator for a trial looking at using a monoclonal antibody in patients with severe COVID-19 and is a co-investigator of the COVE trial looking at the efficacy of the Moderna coronavirus vaccine which starting enrolling participants at George Washington University in August 2020.
